  1. So ... my motherboard died and I borrowed my little brother's motherboard. I pushed my Phenom II 965 up past 4.0 ghz and put in my new lapped H50. I put on some fan shourds and a fan to ensure that it gets freash air from the front of my case and pushes it out the top. Needless to say that I have been benching for not long, but my current cpu temp of 48c is not anywhere near the max for my cpu of 62c.

  2. Best buy had an H50 on sale and I couldn't stop myself. I was kind of surpised at how many rough the bottom was out of the box. I started lapping it down and I will show pictures when I am done, but here it was it looks like to start.

  3.

Man, I'm tempted to try that with my old 7900gs mobile card from my Dell e1705 laptop. I heard it wasn't such a good idea to use your home oven, what with all the toxic fumes and such.

Your not suppose to leave it in the oven for more than a few minutes. Its just suppose to get warm enought to make the medal soft. If you leave it in too long, then I could release toxic fumes. Why not bring it along and see if it works at the LAN evet.

  4. Not sure the camera can see that high.

I hear your suppose to be atleast 9 feet away from the camera. My wife was interested init until I sent her a review of it and found out our living room isn't long enough for it.

  5. good stuff. problem is i dont trust myself putting it all together, plus i know ill forget something major too.

I love putting together PCs so if you ever wanted to come over to my house some afternoon I can help you out. You can buy the parts and I can put it together for you in a few hours. I do have a 16 month old so my free time is pretty limited, but here is a link to my photo bucket account with pictures of my PC: http://s692.photobucket.com/albums/vv290/scaz/Computer%20Pictures/

The basic compents you will need is a CPU (processor), Motherboard, video card, Ram, Hard drive, Power Supply, Computer case, and Operating System (Windows 7). Defiantly wait till black Friday though since in the next two weeks both ATI and Nvidia have put out new video cards and the old version will have pice drops. I personally buy used video cards for even less, but thats up to you.

  6. Plus you have black friday and cyber monday coming up. Newegg.com has had some cool deals like 10% off all motherboads and things of that nature. Another great place to research is: http://www.overclock.net/online-deals/.

Newegg also has great combo deals here: http://www.newegg.com/Special/Combo.aspx?listType=combo&name=Combo-Deals

I would want this and add in some other stuff as I find deals: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.548148

This is a nice full setup: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.514108

  7. I personally never had tried using a cloaning software on RAID, but I have used it quite a few times. You can select which drive you want to boot from in your bios selecing HDD-0 or HDD-1 over RAID or how ever your bios is. If you want to install Windows freash on a RAID you need to make sure you have a floppy drive or USB drive with the drivers on it. I havne't done a raid install with Windows 7, but in XP I needed to use a floppy drive to load the drivers to find my RAID drives. I hope that helps.
