Dooh! You got the CDs today! Did not have to wait for tomarrow!

I have been playing Battlefield Vietnam most of tonight, awesome sound track and back ground sounds, added graphics with a lot of fog, server up soon. They did not seem to add as much to the graphic except a lot of vegetation and player rendering is better then I thought. Kind of reminds me of Ghost Recon with the playability of battlefield 1942 and lot faster action. You can stay alive alot longer and kill alot more if your good. “War good god what is it good for…”

The server was in the DMZ at the time and only ParoxysM had the issue of not seeing the server. the map rotation issue I still have no idea on, which is part of the reason you where getting knocked out of the server. Had to reastart the BF server everytime we wanted to change maps. EA came out with a fix for this issue on the linux server but not for windows that I know of yet.

I have a TNT2 32Mb that was installed and used once, that was going to replace my 3dfx Voodoo3 3000 16Mb and was promptly removed due to the lack of performance. Now I have the nforce2 built in gForce4 MX built on video and it does the trick. I think I am going to stick with ATi for any high-end for my main system, as I like completion and nVidia has my money for the chipsets for now.

That should still be enough time to get it before the LAN party!! Did you go with the DVD SE from BestBuy? As the last email I got from them was it was back-ordered and "We expect to ship it to you by 02/19/2004." Yeah DVD SE from BB... Last email said est ship date the 2/23/04

v1.6 takes out the deticated server. have to D/L the standalone.

"THIS GAME SUCKS" On the 28th get ready to Play some MP of Ghost Recon w/Desert Siege and Island Thunder xpacks. Hope to have the server up and running the week.

The graphics need work they are very rough, edges are pixelated even at the highest settings, they will most likely work that one out in the final. Don't like the fact the the guys disappear after they are dead, they should give them a decay effect, has it hard to find they're weapons with no body around, shoot and within 5 sec the bodies gone. The amout of keys needed makes it more like a simulator, I have palyed quite a few FPS's and for the most part use default settings, if I have to move my left hand to the other side of the keyboard just to do a simple function like drop a weapon there is something wrong, I realize I can bind keys, but that is one of the things I look at when playing new games (Do I have to think about where the keys are). Next, I can be hiding in the brush and can see my bullets bouncing off the leaf infront of me with a guy dead in me sights but his bullet goes right through the leaves, it a leaf not a piece of one way kevlar, this is also an issue that I think the will work out though. The last one is more with the reviews then the game, they are all making it sound as if you can go anywhere and there are no limits, which is untrue. You can not pull up over walls to sneak a look, easly add, a form of this was used in the whole Tomb Radier series. Also I think you should be able to scale cliffs. In multiplayer the AI will just go to waste for the most part and you will never see it, I think the last two thing would be better supported in multiplayer, give you more options. This game is setting up to be a snipers/campers game in multiplier either way. If I can think of any more I will left you know.

That's funny cuz I used to smash the front and back of all my matchbox cars when I was younger to make them look like they were in car crashes. Except my 1957 Ford T-Bird that one was kewl.

I have been playing the Farcry Demo and I hope Doom3 and Halflife 2 are better or they make some more improvements on this game. What I have seen of Doom3 blows this out of the water.
