My bad, everyone is getting me to confused. I have the after hours phone from work this week and I just can not keep up with anything. Anyways the LANs changed and all is well once more.
BTW ParoxysM you picked a hell of a week to pass on the phone, came home to another hour + of calls. We might as well have stayed till 8 today.

I am changing up the date of the LAN to 2/28/04 the Saturday after the original planned date. Mainly due to B.Ob being unable to attend and that I do not want to bother him the weekend of his wedding to get tables/bring them back. As of such I am moving the date to the 28th. Everything else is as planned...
Sorry for the inconvenience. Hope everyone that everyone is still able to attend that wanted to.

I was right.... No LAN party for me. but there be more... hmmm, that is kinda a big thing... I guess we could move it back a week as up a week is not a good idea, that is the 14th. B.Ob let me know if you can make it the next weekend after.

starting at 3pm
Been trying to shot for hosting 3 to 4 LANs a year, Well I am starting early this year. WinterLAN04 will start this off, even though I don’t know if we can beat the 20+ ppl at B.Ob’s in January. I have reorganized and heated the garage to seat 22+ and if all else fails we can use the upstairs also. Most likely only I will show up so there should be plenty of room.
Line up to include: Anything New (UT2k4, Battlefield Vietnam) that might be out, BF1942 DC Mod, Ghost Recon, Call of Duty and Need for Speed (HP2 or Underground)*
*Line up subject to change at anytime
Also, full 1000Mbps ports now available, so bring it on.
First come first severed of course.RSVP: Let me know your coming, I'll guarantee you a spot, not like anyone’s ever been turned away, but you never know. There will be the usual pop, chips & beer, with pizza and wings to follow. Never seems to happen when I drive the same way in NFS games.

Also, most happen within 20 miles of home, so the faster you go, the quicker you get out of that zone!!
I suppose this explains why Pursuit is always replacing parts on his Car due to those "close @ home" accidents stats he is a part of?!?!

Nah, that is just because I beat on my car bad. Can not complain. Bought it for $3500 with 34,000 miles six years ago and have, last count, put alittle under $2000 in to it, that includes rebuilding the frontend completely after that ditch hit me, with 91,000 on a 12 year old car, grand total for owning a Honda $5500, over 6 years of beating the piss out of it, priceless. For everyone else there's car payments and endless hours wasted time at the dealer.

I was told once by a driving skewl instructor that most accedents happen under 45Mph, So I try to stay out of the 0 to 45 range. Only if I have to do I stop also, as stopping is only a waste of time.

I think I will try to make the LAN a couple hours earlier next time just so I can play more BF. I only got to play 3 maps, 'cause my monitor sucks and I cant see anything on dim maps

I have logged my fair share playing this game & now I believe we should move on. Their a lot of different games that could/should be played both old & new.
I think that everyone has stated serveral times that they are always open to requests of new or old games to play. That is the reason UT Classic showed up in the mix this time instead of UT 2003. Same with BF1942 going from that to Desert Combat. One thing I like about our group is there is always room to play serveral different things at each LAN.

As for Pursuit being "#1" @ it, that does tend to happen when played enough times by U & that U keep using the fastest car most of the time
Hmmm 1st off I never watch TV for more the a passing moment, and if I wanted to go to LANs to sit and not talk to anyone I would stay home and play over the cable modem like every other day.
2nd - You had the same cars as me, everyone was using my config file, I was unbeatable even with a complete level 2 upgrade car, when everyone else was running Level 3 upgrades.
It's not the car, it's the driver!As far as BF goes I am all for it. I love BF and was a *HUGE BUFFALO!* part of it being played at our LANs in the beginning, I would like to see us go back to RtR, but think that a lot more ppl would be complaining, as DC has game play that is much faster then RtR or even SWoWWII. I personal still play BF1942 online @least once a week.

Last LAN you where at we tryed to play Warcraft but you had some crazy messed up modded map that was not WC at all. -

I have the Belkin @ home and it last about 15 mins with a 17" and the computer plugged in. Have used the APC for one of the places I used to work and they lasted about 10 mins. More then enuff time when the power goes out for a few.

This sounds interesting. How good does this game play? Is it worth having? How many players does it support via lan?

I already finished the single player underground part of the game. Supports up to 50 players on a LAN, after looking through the forum for the patch though looks like about 16+ ppl is what has been tested on it. Game is deffently worth it.
I was right.... No LAN party for me.
