Valve Confirms Left 4 Dead and L4D2 DLC for Oct. 5
http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/65757
Valve has confirmed that 'The Sacrifice', DLC for both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, will be released on October 5 for the PC and Xbox 360.
"'The Sacrifice' is the prequel to 'The Passing,' and takes place from the L4D Survivors' perspective as they make their way South," reads the press release. "In addition to advancing the story, 'The Sacrifice' introduces a new style finale featuring "Sacrificial Gameplay" where players get to decide who will give their life so the others may live."
In L4D, 'The Sacrifice' will include the campaign and maps playable in Versus and Survival. In L4D2, the DLC will yield the same campaign, which is played using the L4D characters, and the first game's 'No Mercy' campaign as an added bonus. Both campaigns will include L4D2 weapons and Special Infected. The maps will be playable in Versus, Survival, and Scavenge modes, as well.

Signup is current still not up as I have not had time to upgrade the software and script the questions. For the time being just post in this thread if you are planning on attending.

Gearbox Planning Duke Nukem Forever Demo
Days after announcing the revival of the once-defunct video game, Randy Pitchford, the CEO of Gearbox, said that it was "important" to release a demo of the game, so that people can see for themselves what the new Duke Nukem will be like.

Console Gamers suck compared to PC Gamers
http://www.tgdaily.com/games-and-entertain...ole-gamers-suck
"There was a project many many months ago at Microsoft that was under wraps. The goal was to bridge Xbox gamers with PC gamers so they could play against one another in games like Unreal, or Gears of War."
Perhaps not unexpectedly, the fluffy console players were "destroyed" every time by their superior PC rivals - so much so that it would be "embarrassing" for the Xbox team had Microsoft launched its clandestine initiative.
"During the development they brought together the best console gamers to play mediocre PC gamers at the same game...and guess what happened?"
THEY GOT PWNED!!! BOOM HEAD SHOT!!!

I have to work something out with the wife, but I might end up getting a two day pass and just spending one day at the event. I really want to see what massive lan is like.
Due to the fact that an event like this cost 1000s of dollars we are lucky enuff to have worked out the 2 day pass, a single day pass was not an option as the tables and the chairs still have to be rented for 3 days from the fairgrounds. If you have a chair that you can bring to use that brings down the costs down and makes the event more affordable in the future.
-
Next LAN is MassiveLAN... ...Jeff and myself have put alot of work into this year MLP and would like WNYG to have a good turn out... ...2 day and 3 day passes are avalible at MassiveLAN.com and WNYG will have a section set asside for us.

I sat around smoking crack rock all day and zoning out to the fuze on my TV with no digital tuner connected, so pissed, I could have been at the LAN beating all you bitches in split second and blur. Next time....
Isn't having a new kid fun!
Dragon
You think I would miss a LAN just cuz of my bouncing baby boy? If worse came to worse I would have stopped over for a few hours and just brought him with. We have not done a racing game for awhile and we did 2 petty much all night. Split Second and Blur are pretty kewl....

Is that multiple modems for the same ISP account ? Or is that multiple ISP accounts ?
You could have 2 modems on one account, Bob used too for awhile, Time Warrner will give you as many modems as you want to pay for. I have just been brining my modem and router to Jeff's so we can play, Conan and Tecboy have also brought thier modems to LPEs before.

Congratz irons
I see its said that this is played at the LAN's. How have you guys done it ? Just find a server online and everyone heads to it ? How has that worked out with everyone getting on at the same time on the single line ? Any drops / disconnects ? Lag issues ?
I'm still bummed about the lack of lan support for this game. I didnt really see this as feasible online at a lan with more than a handful of players at the same time much less a whole lan. I think usually its around 10-12'ish at the wnyg lans. Let me know the experience at the last couple - how many were on at once etc.
TY
We have used multiple cable modems at the same time and hoped online. 4 to 6 ppl have no issues on 1 modem at a time.
-
Almost 80 ppl signed up.... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..w00t!!!

Why did Viper say its at Henry's place?
I do not have central air so summer LANs at my place are a bad idea.
