Actually it's much better than EQ or WoW. Think of it as CoD4 where you get in, kill as many people as you can, and get out. Yes there are PVE elements to it where is turning out to be a lot of fun but for the most part, it's war baby. laying seige to a keep (castle) or territories it a heck of a lot of fun, and it's a well balanced game. Many in the guild get in for an hour,or even 30 minutes to get their hands bloody and then move on. Some play for 4 hour stretches at a time 1 or 2 days a week. All MMO's are $15 a month which is a steal since they are always adding new content, world events, new character classes, etc... Every game out there is like $50 and I would rather spend $15 a month on one game that is worth the money than $50 on other games and only play them for about a week. Thus is the reason I don't play single player games. Waste of money since there will never be anything new to the game and once you beat it, what's the point of playing it. I never played the single player part of all the command and conqures (except the 1st dos based one), Battle Fields, or CoD's. waste of time for me. War is where it's at. Lots of fun, plenty of great people on Ventrillo, and it's not a crack head game like EQ or WoW, especially since there is ZERO grinding in the game.

Pandora isn't like a radio station. What it does is create "channels" based on your music selection and it's database then creates a playlist of similar artists/music type. It's great, especially for mood setting, events, what ever. When I'm in a hardcore gaming mood I'll play a certain selection, but if I'm say out in the backyard w/ friends by the firepit then that's another selection. It's great and they are on the iphone now too so I'm sure that helped them out a lot financially. Oh and w/ Pandora I stream it while in my car too.

this concept of paying for music online still confuses me when you can get it for free online anyway... I use Pandora to get my music fix and it's free, no commercials and I can tailor it as I see fit. Shoutcast is cool too as it has hundreds of streaming stations. And if I need to hear that one particular song like a World of Warcraft addict needs his grinding, then I just play it off of youtube.

lol I have had the beemer since 2000 and it was 5 years old at that point but only had 30,000 miles. I have it up to 140,000 miles now and so it's on a downward path. It looks great inside and out, no rust or any dings even, but the starter needs to be replaced.

So they broke the PvP in City of Heroes w/ the latest update/patch, so my entire guild in CoH/CoV has left the game and are heading to Warhammer Online.

I heard that it took an hour for the action to start... that's kinda odd for an action movie...

European media is now also ripping Palin to shreads, calling her a joke and not fit to be a world leader. This of course embarses the rest of the country since she is possibly the future vp of our country... what does that say about America? that we have a shortage of qualified people and have to now resort to beauty queens w/ 5 kids to lead our country...

yeah when we lived together I would put it up on the fridge calendar that I had a LAN event but now we live in 2 different places it's not as easy... I can't just say "well I had it up on the calendar!"...

lol no worries. They have been doing a wonderful job of tweaking the chat features so it's very customizable. I like combat way to the right of the screen and "Com's" at the middle left.

When I mentioned wanting to go to the LAN event to the lady, she just looked at me and I quickly said "oh never mind, nothing at all" We spent every minute of the entire weekend together... Ellicottville for the Oktoberfest was on the agenda for Saturday. And yesterday we watched nearly the whole series of the HBO Band of Brothers as I have the 6 dvd Tin Box Set.

My computer was only used by myself and nobody else... Everyone has/had their own computers to mess up.

Install the free Windows XP64 bit trial edition on it (dual boot), update it fully w/ all your drivers, and then install the games again. Yeah it's a couple hours of work but it will help everyone determine if it's a software problem or a hardware problem. The xp64 trial edition lasts for like 120 days and can be downloaded from microsoft. Games freezing could also be a videocard heating up too much but your system isn't that heat intensive it seems to me, unless you just have poor airflow.
