  1. Wow - fantastic post. TY. I noticed some deals when i logged in but didnt realize the scope of how much awesomeness there was up right now.
  2. Is that multiple modems for the same ISP account ? Or is that multiple ISP accounts ?
  3. Im a possible, however it sounds like blur and split second will be the main features ? I dont have them, didnt plan on them. If anyone is committing to other games let me know. TY
  4. Congratz irons I see its said that this is played at the LAN's. How have you guys done it ? Just find a server online and everyone heads to it ? How has that worked out with everyone getting on at the same time on the single line ? Any drops / disconnects ? Lag issues ? I'm still bummed about the lack of lan support for this game. I didnt really see this as feasible online at a lan with more than a handful of players at the same time much less a whole lan. I think usually its around 10-12'ish at the wnyg lans. Let me know the experience at the last couple - how many were on at once etc. TY
  5. I find it somewhat funny that for all the hype and interest I saw in the game - I never see anyone here playing it, lol. It had some serious flaws when it started out. I was almost livid with the poor quality. But it seems a lot of the major junk has been cleaned up and theres another patch due to hit soon. More features n fixes etc. So is this game pretty much dead for folks ? Or do any still play it ? Ive been on most nights if any want to join our regular play group.
  6. This was pointed out to me after I set the date. Didnt realize his was running that weekend. I took into account the dates for the 3 local groups I know of (wnyg, lanminds, gpa) but didnt catch this one. It is a good sign at least. There seems to be a lot more going on for local lan parties than in recent years I'll keep my lan scheduled for now. Even if its just the regulars it makes for a good day of gaming. I consider mine more of a casual "house" lan anyways. Just come out, have fun, enjoy the games, some pizza, etc. Usually we top out at about 12'ish people anyways. I have room for a bit more and can accomodate if theres interest, but I'm definately not shooting for a 20 + person lan, lol. The wife would just love me if we seated all 24, ha ha. Not sure about the other "lan wives" but mine will give me a little evil eye if theres a dozen or more people she doesnt know coming over I'd be game to run a LAN that big if there was that much interest, I just dont expect it. Its a free lan anyways - i mention the "bring money" so people have a good idea of the food order cost and to avoid an awkward moment. I played it like 3-4 times multiplayer. It was fine, I didnt get to spend enough time with it to get decent or form a strong opinion. I didnt quite get a grasp of the city / card system. So i'd be a total newbie for that one. Personally I havent found an RTS i really enjoy in a long time. Ive been wanting to find a new rts mainstay. Just nothings thrilled me. A tendency Ive noted in a lot of the newer ones is smaller maps and quick fast rounds. More of a "rush" mentality. I enjoy involved games on really huge maps so there can be a lot of manuevering, territorial fights, and machiavellian treaties of conveinance if desired. Fun stuff. The supreme commander series seems the closest to still using large maps and big armies that i've noticed. Be happy to check out other recommendations.

  11. Upgrading but after spending a day looking at ideal components Ive given up on the grounds its just too darn expensive. So im looking to do a quite respectable rig in the $1000'ish range. Can be a little over. Honestly I could afford to do a big system but simply cant justify the expense. I wanted to try a small case / mini comp type build : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16811112222 So been eyeballing microATX boards and the goodies to go with. After checking out Toms HW I looks like the i5 750 is the way to go. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-...i5,2410-14.html http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-g...cpu,2570-6.html I was originally looking at the i7 930's. Any suggestions based on these thoughts ?
  12. Researching a build now. And oddly enough ole Toms Hardware says the i5 750's are the best chip right now. Almost as good as the i7's for gaming, and with a little OC they are just shy of being as fast as the $1000 chip. Like wow ! Is there even remotely a need for 6 cores atm ?
  13. Its alright if ur terrible. We usually have 4-5 in the game anyways, so you have allies to back u up. Talisman is actually a dungeons n dragons fantasy type game. Its not a story telling style, its your character moves about the board interacting with various monsters, places, and other players, to build up thier strength to win the game. Very fun.
  14. For some reason this patch has knocked 10-20 FPS off my system performance and things are terribly choppy now. Games been somewhat of a disaster for me, though I did put some hours into it so far. Im very tempted to shelve it for a year. Let them get it all cleaned up first. Read through their forums - the issues are very wide spread for many many users. Tried oodles of system settings and tweaks. What irks me a bit too is no LAN option I was hoping to host a bc2 lan, but if its play only over internet thats not efficient. Oh well.
  15. Im game almost any night however a sat or sun early to mid afternoon is ideal.
  16. Hands broke - but I still want to game. I have a couple very awesome board games. Nice spacious man cave to play in. If theres interest Ill schedule a day asap. List your days and times. Two of my favorites are A&A and Talisman. Let me know. Wayne
  17. Im out - broke a bone in my hand rough housing with the kids. Deep gaming withdrawal atm.
  18. I'm actually in need of decent and hopefully cheap mid range card. PM me your details. PCI-E, without monster power draw. Going into a shuttle.
  19. The disc is broken thanks to children. $25 if you just want the CD Key / Serial (New Never Used) and manual.
  20. Just a quick heads up here that I'm hosting a casual house LAN at my place on Saturday, March 27th. I'll do up a more complete post later tonight or tomorrow with the full details. Im located in Wheatfield / NT. Any interest feel free to shout it out. There's usually 9-12 people at the LAN.
  21. AvP2 is always a favorite. Better than the new one...gack. But I can only internet join this weekend so my votes no count. BC2 - Please patch that thing !!! Everyday i keep hoping for one. On the retro note - there are so many good games to choose from in the last few years and back some that really we dont need new games anymore, lol. Especially with the quality of the newer releases being so poor lately.
  22. Gawdz I do hate losing my nice chairs to LAN rumps. I've had two nice black office roller chairs be destroyed Hint: Dont lean back in them !
  23. My current one is WarZS, but I think I'm changing it to |WarZ| for the cool factor. So either one you catch me on. And yea friends isnt the only thing broken with this game. OMG, its more chore than fun to play right now...*crosses fingers* patch please !!!
  24. My brother in law pre-ordered it without even looking at the system requirements. He got it and realized his comp prob will spit at him if he tries to load it. Decided he'll grab it for his console instead. Asking is anyone would be interested in it ? Asking $40 - might be able to talk him into $35 ?
  25. That would be fantastic. I'll do up a skype server on my 2nd internet line if anyone would be interested, unless you want to host it there. We use it and have 8 guys in there at times, one of us hosts and its still clear as day. Just pretend I'm there, watching my figure and didnt go in on pizza, lol. BCBF2 should be cleaner by then I hope. I still can barely play it atm, or I can just in a limited fashion. Like playing without 1/3 of my game controls, lol. BTW if anyone wants a brand new copy of the game. Say $35 or $40 let me know. I'll post in the sale section.
