My best option might be getting the ECS board and the X850XT.

Anyone had personal experience with that board. a few people have told me those boards have a lot of issues.

I was just kidding about the soap and water. I don't have anyway to try the cpu in another pc I can do the video card and maybe the memory though.

Justr cleaned computer with some soap and water. Took motherboard out. threw it in bathtub cleaned it good. Looks like new now. then reseeded cpu video card and 1 stick mem. Still same issue. I guess need new board boo hoo.

bummer that would mean new video card too.

I know I am stuck in the past. right now I don't have the cash to get out. Money is so tight still. spent almost 800 in car repairs in December. had to borrow the money for that.

Where can I get an MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum MB at a reasonable price? Anyone know. or a Socket 939 AGP MB by Asus or Abit.

In fact, most boot problems are displayed via video error messages, as opposed to audio beep codes. : is not taking place. the code FF is immediately displayed. The BIOS is not doing the POST.

MB no longer under warranty I bought it in June of 2005. Bought 6800 GS in 02/08/06 Bought PSU sametime as MB too Antec SmartPower 2.0 SP-450 450W Power Supply.

Only way to do that is to take one out of an older computer.

Remove all power connections except video and MB removed the cmos battery for a minute or 2 put battery back in still get same result. is it possible the CPU could be bad. all the caps look to be good. I had more problems with this Epox MB than I had with any other brand. I am kicking myself for buying it now.

Yes but it is very odd that there are no initial beeps it just immediately shows the FF. Within a second of pressing the power button.

I turn it on nothing happens. I remove the vidoe card and that is when I get sound from board. I don't understand it it ran great last night. ok the post code FFh or CFh direct from MB book state; problem 1. BIOS chip inserted incorrectly 2. Incorrect BIOS update version. 3. Mainboard problem 4. Add-on inserted incorrectly. 1 and 2 definately not it. I doubt it is # 4 but possible one of the card might cause this. I tried my old agp card same result nothing happens. possible its the sound card but thing went great last night. The MB is not OC at all. I tried resetting the BIOS same result FF code.

I was playing NWN2 last night a few hours from about 9pm to 1am. Everything went great had no issues at all with computer. When I was done I shutdown computer normal. Wife before works she normally goes online to check bank account if she needs to. This morning she turned computer on and it will not boot. Don't even get any beep codes. On the MB just the FF code is displayed right away. I think that's the code for a normal boot. Only time I get a sound from the MB is when I take video card out. I take the memory out and get no beep codes. Do I have a bad MB all of a sudden?

I have been playing a lot. in between taking care of the kids. I got CoH too but have not tried that yet. I played FFXII a little its kind of confusing a bit. I am liking NWN2. I am at the part where you escort the weapon shipment

Its nice. can't seem to get the auto feature to work though. NWN 2 looks great. might watch the movies cars on it.

I have the 26'th and 27'th off. This Monitor is nice got a Samsung 940BW for Christmas. Think I will try NWN 2.

I just got my new monitor installed and working. Its awesome. I got NWN 2 and Company of Heroes for Christmas which should I play first.
