I am able to play guild Wars. although the screen went all blue could see names of people but nothing else. I restarted the computer and went back inm and played the game for 2 hours straight. I had the CPU OC a little 212 Mhz not even close to going over the limit for an AMD 3500 Venice core. The GPU was not OC. I am thinking it could be the sound card thats the oldest peice of hardware in computer 5 years old at least. Will play some other game Call of Duty and BF2. see how they perform. Bummer don't have time or money to start swapping components.

E.E. Gold Edition unable to start the game. BSOD Machine_Check_Exception. I borrowed the game from my father in law he could not get it to work on his computer so I figured I would try my computer.

Have you tried Xandros? I have been thinking about trying either Debian or Ubuntu. FreeBSD is not for me.

but don't youhave to be like some hardcore tekkie or something to just install that. Aren't most flavors of linux tough to install and take awhile to configure.

Yes I was thinking that too. Its kind of wierd same error roughly same place with 4 different burn programs.

I have looked at the disk did not see anything on it. wiped it off with a tissue and blew whatever dust may have been leftover. When I go home I am going to try and burn a couple other disks I know I have burned before see if I get the same issue. GA plays just fine. in computer and dvd player.

I am trying to burn Season 1 of the show Grey's Anatomy. I have tried using DVD-Cloner 3 DVD-Shrink. Easy DVD Shrink. I keep getting a read error (CRC error), within 5 to 7 minutesd I think have not timed it. I have not tried to burn anything elase. I suppose I should have tried that. The DVD do play just fine.

ok I see. That doesn't explain why I am unable to burn movies.
