  1. So far I've applied for a ton of computer jobs online and I haven't even gotten there yet. I've already received a response from a business in San Antonio called Computer Nerdz, hehe, sounds perfect! Anyway, maybe I'll disrupt some or your LAN parties by connecting from TX and causing a bunch of LAG! hahaaa!

Hey Persuit, thanks for telling your buddy about the monitor. We are in the negotiation procceedings right now, hehe.

  2. Well guys I have bad news. I'm moving to San Antonio TX on August 20th, so I won't be making it to the LAN Party. If anyone wants to buy the monitor, they have until the 19th to come get it.

my email is bwaclawc@yahoo.com and I check it every day.

It was really great meeting everyone at Bob's place, and I hope I meet up with a similar LAN party group in San Antonio.

  3. Hey everyone. I'm selling my 34 inch monitor (32 inch viewable). If anyone is interested, I'm asking $900 for it. Here is a link to specs and retail value of it from a website I found.

It is in perfect condition, and not a scratch on it. I've only had it for over a year, and I bought it brand new. I would normally just sell it on EBAY or something, but it's too dang big to ship. Here are some pictures of it. If anyone is interested in buying it, please email me at bwaclawc@yahoo.com I will sell it to the highest offer, or the only offer, either way I really need to sell it. Selling my baby is REALLY going to hurt, but I need the money, so I have no choice. It comes with the owners manual, 2 remote controls, and I'll throw in a 10ft monitor cable.

  4. The PC is pretty much done. I eventually need to get a nice display to go with it, but since I'm broke from pouring all of my money into the PC, I'll just stick with my CRT for now. The only thing I've done since the LAN party is overclock it to 3.26GHz, and 4% above the default on my video card.

I've been playing Vice City since the LAN party, and I CAN'T STOP! It's a blast.

  7. That's funny! Alan and I talked to the owner and some of the dudes working there, and they said that they have people coming in all the time saying that they wanted to open a place just like it, but they never did. Oh well, I'm just glad that someone did it, and I can't wait to enter my new PC in the Mod contest they're having in the near future.

  8. This is the coolest thing I've ever seen. They're not finished and open yet, but it looks AWSOME so far. They have like 45 or something computers already hooked up to their network and games already loaded, and they have space for people to bring their own computers, and XBOX people as well. And they have a room where you can hook your gear up to a WALL size projection system and 5.1 surround. I went over to the building and checked it out, and I'm excited about it all. Here's a link to their homepage and a link to some pictures in their forum:

They are actually BETA testing their systems tonight starting at 7pm, if anyone wants to go by and check it out. It's on Sheridan, East of Niag Blvd, on the right. It is pretty sweet!

Hey Bob, I was thinking that we could have some really big LAN parties there. I know that you said that your mailing list is too many people to fit at the house, and you were thinking of renting a Hall or something. This may be a descent alternative to that. Just a suggestion.

  9. I am a complete NVIDIA freak and supporter. I even own a couple of shares of stock, just for the hell of it. I personally think that the Geforce FX is just something that they threw out there to quiet down the ATI freaks for a little while. I think they're working on something else better, and I am personally going to wait until then next card they come out with after the FX. Oh...and.....MY MOM AGREES TOO!!

  10. All I know is that at the last LAN party at Bob's house a couple of weeks ago, I showed a few of the guys there Morrowind, and their jaws hit the floor when they saw how amazing it looked with my TI4600. I've been on the Morrowind forums a couple of times, and alot of 9700 owners complained of graphic anomolies during the game, or the water not looking right sometimes in the game. I've never had any problems like that, and Morrowind isn't the only game that uses those rendering techniques. In fact most of the best games coming out now use all that high tech fancy rendering stuff, and I'm just glad that I'm not having any trouble playing any of them, or having to worry about errors during games because of technical issues with my video card, like alot of ATI owners are.

    Later,
