What did you think of it? The graphics are pretty sweet, but I dont' like how trains/caravans just pass through units. It seems like it will be a pretty deep game, what with the home cities and everything.

Spire, Xtreme Gaming Servers, GearGrip, and PC Medic have all been added as confirmed sponsors! More to come soon. We are also looking into adding a Quake 4 tournament, and are leaving one open tournament slot for pre-payers to vote on.
We're still working towards our goal of 50 gamers so if you think you'll be able to show up, stop by and register!

War Games LAN has returned to the Warren area and we'll be hosting a 50+ LAN party Nov. 18-20th. As you can guess, we're all very excited. Prizes and sponsors are in the works, but Bawls is already on board, alongside some local businesses (all to be announced later). Tournaments will be featured in CS:S in the form of a 5v5 ladder, and UT 1v1. Others to be decided during the event -- if you guys want it, we'll host it.
The website is finally back up and working properly (for the most part), so stop in, say hi, and look into blasting us with some rockets in November!

I like the fact that it is small, black, and that you have access to the entire library of older games -- otherwise, I know nothing about it, which makes me lean towards the 360 and PS3. Poor, stupid Nintendo... You weren't always the bottom of the barrel...

As per the PS3, it is ugly, but the controllers look much more usable than the current XBox ones, and more comfy than PS3. Again, wireless standard = awesome, and I am very interested in the new Live additions, but haven't decided which system I'm going to get yet.

It looks stupid and I don't know what to think of the controllers, but we'll have to wait until it gets here to know whether they're comfy or not. The wireless standard is awesome, though.
I, for one, will be waiting for some major price drops if rumors are anywhere near the truth.

Yeah, I ended up pre-ordering mine about three days before the game actually game out so I could play a day early
I haven't been playing it as much as I'd like (as much as my friends are, the bastards are all hooked), but I just hit level 14 last night. It's really good. When you get the actual game, you don't have to pre-load areas from the internet, you just download little fixes & patches. -

In my experience it has run pretty well, yeah. I haven't spent too much time with the Tribes games, but I guess they have a pretty dedicated community, so they'll probably pick up the slack. I doubt we'll see another sequel, though...

Who else is excited about this game? It's being released this Thursday (April 28th), Wednesday for pre-orders, and I, personally, cannot wait. I got in on the last Beta weekend and was hooked. Just questing was fun, I didn't even get in on PvP yet, one of the best aspects of the game...

The good news is, T:V is now $15 at Staples, and Ground Control 2 is only $10.

I didn't enjoy the demo too much, but the full game got good reviews... *shrug* I noticed that one of the commando's has the same voice actor as Carth from KotOR

Yeah, our admin went temporarily insane and blew up the site, but it's all back up and working now. The LAN is this weekend! It's going to be awesome! We've got over 30 people signed up (hope to see everyone there), so keep your eyes open for the $250 prize for CS:S. We also have some new stuff from Bawls, nVidia, and GearGrip that just came in, and a sweet blue acrylic case via PC Medic.
