B.Ob.
EXCLUSIVE: WORLD OF WARCRAFT INTERVIEW Blizzard's Jeffrey Kaplan on the MMORPG phenomenon which is World of Warcraft .... Is World of Warcraft as it stands today more or less identical to your original conception? Jeffrey Kaplan: Yes, I feel like the game is very close to the original conception. We wanted a massive world. We wanted a world that appealed to hardcore MMO players but that also welcomed newcomers to the genre. We wanted a game with rich Player vs. Environment encounters as well as dynamic and compelling Player vs. Player battles. We wanted people to be able to solo freely, throughout all levels, while at the same time encouraging and rewarding the group experience. Mostly, we wanted an MMO that was FUN. I think the development team was able to meet those goals.

B.Ob.
World of Warcraft Tips of the Week #7 "#14 Understand the cost and benefits before purchasing armor (for all levels) It can be very tempting to upgrade your armor when something that's better than what you currently is available at a seemingly affordable cost. However, if you don't understand that it takes a fair number of armor points to make a difference that's likely to matter, you can end up over-spending by buying pieces that provide very little or no real benefit." That tip is weak as hell. They need tips like "Find mithril veins in eastern portion of badlands by all the dragons shooting fireballs at you" Hehe, no doubt!! But I wouldn't know since I'm not a WoW player.... Thought it might be helpful for those that do WoW.
