Performance Improvements

 

- Call of Juarez DX10: Performance increases up to 12% on systems containing an ATI Radeon™ HD 3xx0 series of product

- Halo: Performance increases by 10-30% across all of the supported ATI Radeon™ series of products

- Lost Planet DX10: Performance increases from 5 to 35% on systems containing an ATI Radeon™ HD 3xx0 series of product

- Stalker DX9: Performance increases by 20-50% when HDR is enabled in the game; across all ATI Radeon™ HD38x0 series of products

- World in Conflict DX10: Performance increases up to 25% on systems containing an ATI Radeon™ HD36x0 and/or an ATI Radeon™ 38x0 series of product. Higher performance gains are noticed on systems contianing an ATI Radeon™ 3870x2 series of product

 

Resolved Issues for the Windows Vista Operating System

 

- Clive Barker's Jericho: Corruption is no longer noticed when playing the game on a system containing an ATI Radeon™ HD 38x0 series of product and running the Windows Vista operating system. Further details can be found in topic number 737-34260

- Colin McRae: DiRT: Setting the display to 1024x768 with AA set to 4x, and CrossFire™ enabled no longer results in lower performance being noticed. Further details can be found in topic number 737-34254

- Crysis: Flickering shadow corruption no longer occurs in hallways of the ship when CrossFire™ is enabled. Further details can be found in topic number 737-34256

- Doom 3: Setting the in game options to Ultra Quality and the screen size to 1600x1200 no longer results in the image next to the text failing to be rendered. Further details can be found in topic number 737-32603

- Farcry: Enabling CrossFire™ no longer results in corruption being noticed during the introduction of the game. Further details can be found in topic number 737-34262

- Gears of War: Launching the game under the 64 bit version of Windows Vista no longer results in momentary corruption of the desktop. Further details can be found in topic number 737-34261

- Tabula Rasa: Setting the graphics option to enable Deferred Lighting and Dynamic Shadows no longer results in corruption being displayed. Further details can be found in topic number 737-32597

Resolved Issues for the Windows XP Operating System

 

- Crysis: Catalyst™ Control Center->Advanced View->3D: Setting the standard setting to Optimal Quality and having certain in-game settings no longer results in missing textures being noticed when playing the game under either Windows XP (32 bit version) or Windows Vista (64 bit version). - DIRT: Launching DIRT with CrossFire™ enabled no longer results in the application failing to launch and an error message being displayed 737-29554

- Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts: The game no longer runs out of virtual memory and no longer fails to load on systems containing an ATI Radeon™ X1650 series of product and running Windows XP Professional x64 Edition operating system. Further details can be found in topic number 737-34148

- Lost Planet: Setting AA to either 4x or 8x no longer results in the game failing to respond 737-28492

- SecondLife: Corruption is no longer noticed when AA is enabled on a system containing an ATI Radeon™ HD 2600 series of product and running Windows XP. Further details can be found in topic number 737-34149

- Tiger Woods 2008: Corruption is no longer noticed when playing the game with Adaptive AA enabled. Further details can be found in topic number 737-34163

- World of Warcraft: Connecting an Apple 30" display device to a system containing an ATI Radeon™ HD 26x0 series of product and running Windows XP no longer results in poor performance and intermittent flashing display. Further details can be found in topic number 737-32576

- World of Warcraft: Playing the game in a windowed mode under Windows XP no longer results in the game failing to respond when attempting to go full screen. Known Issues Under the Windows Vista Operating System

 

- Company of Heroes: Setting the in-game options to maximum levels may result in the game exiting to the desktop after the game has completed loading. Further details can be found in topic number 737-34137

- Crysis: Momentary corruption may be noticed in the body of water when a soldier pierces through the clouds. Further details can be found in topic number 737-32599

- Unreal Tournament 3: The game may intermittently fail to launch when a map has texture detail set to maximum. Further details can be found in topic number 737-31189

- ZT: Attempting to play the Asian game in a windowed mode or at a display resolution of 1280x1024 may result in the game failing to respond. Further details can be found in topic number 737-34152

 

Known Issues Under the Windows XP Operating System

 

- Enemy Territory: Quake Wars may have corruption on the water and sky after increasing the game resolution. Restarting the game at that higher resolution or issuing reloadImages command in the game console corrects the corruption. This issue only impacts graphics cards up to the ATI Radeon™ X850.
