PurSuiT Posted February 21, 2008 Share Posted February 21, 2008 Issue: BF2 - “Your CD-key is not valid” error after new install or running the 1.41 patch Fix: This works some of the time, also can try to just reinstall the patch over itself also, Edit the registry key, /HKLM/SOFTWARE/Electronic Arts/EA Games/Battlefield 2/ergc adding x9392 in front of your valid CD key. ex: "x9392xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" cd key needs to be typed in CAPS. From my searching the net it seems to happen alot after the 1.41 patch is applied to BF2... going to try it when I get home and see if it resolves my BF2 and 2142 issues.
