B.Ob.
Hmmm, maybe I will have to rename this thread since this has the same card pictured from my first post.... ATI's RV670 can beat R600 "This will probably be the first time in history that the part with narrower memory controller (256-bit) will beat wider part (512-bit), at least in some tests. We were told to pay special attention to titles that are heavy on longer shader code. Expect that Radeon HD 2900XT will speed pass through RV670 in all tests that require heavy bandwidth load, such as FullHD (1920x1200) or XHD (2560x1600) variants. Bear in mind that AMD will push for multi-GPU configurations for these users, and if you opt for a single-slot board, it should be no problem to put 2-3-4 boards in the same system." B.Ob.
Working RV670, Phenom system pixellated "The RV670 shown here did not come marked "RV670XT" or "RV670XTX", just one of RV670 reference designs. The two boards worked in Crossfire, hidden in huge Thermaltake chassis. These boards had a dual-slot cooler, and power consumption is such that it can run just from the PCIe 2.0 slot alone. However, in order to keep the compatibility with PCIe 1.1 motherboards on the market, six-pin PEG connector was used. We learned that no final clocks are set yet, but the boards that are here in Seattle worked at quite interesting clocks. Needless to say, this product is going to offer high-end performance for excellent price. We will have quite an interesting battle on our hands." B.Ob.
RV670 is Radeon HD 3800 Series "VR-Zone has learned that the official marketing name for RV670 will be Radeon HD 3800 series. Previously, they are known as Radeon HD 2950 series. Interestingly, one of the AIB partners has even listed out Radeon HD 3800 on their website. Earlier, AMD has made changes to the naming of the Phenom processors and now the changes are being made to the graphics cards too. As such, AMD has decided to drop PRO, XT, GT, XTX from their future HD 3000 series graphics series and the last 2 digits of the series will determine the performance of the card. RV670PRO will be known as Radeon HD 3850 while RV670XT will be know as Radeon HD 3870 when they are launched on Nov 15th."

PurSuiT
I read somewhere that all internal crossfire configs will beable to run multible monitors with a driver rev... but only monitor one will have the benefit of CF in games... which is ok either way, just wish the drivers would come out...
