B.Ob.
Xbox 360 availability surges "Microsoft today announced that beginning this week it will be shipping "two to three times" as many Xbox 360 units to stores as it has been recently. The increase in supply is attributed to manufacturing firm Celestica, Inc. joining existing partners Wistron Corp. and Flextronics Corp. In a recent interview, Microsoft's Steve Ballmer indicated that the system's widespread shortage was at least partially due to poor performance from an unnamed manufacturing partner." Nemesis
Interesting how Microsoft suddenly has an "interest" in being able to feed the "supply & demand" from the public NOW that Sony has announced that they are releasing the PS3 later this year. Coincidence? I think not. I'll just kick back & wait for my PS3 -- Nem
ellilion
:bump: They also stopped making the original xbox and switched over to making 360's with all manufacturing, it was about 6-8 weeks ago when the switch was made and they said this month that they would be a massive push out of systems. So I don't think it was the PS3 announcement that caused this, they have been planning this for the last 6-8 weeks.
